7. My Asparagus Roots Crowns Where Easy To Plant and They Came up And Are Now 5
Feet Tall But They Keep Falling Over What Should I Do?
The Asparagus are growing really well. Please do not dig them up and plant them deeper. Not a good
idea as you could enter a viruses or disease to the soil and roots. Just best to place soil around the
base of the plant till they can stand on their own. The Asparagus roots were not planted deep
enough. You will probably have to add soil to the base of the plants several times.
8. When I Buy Asparagus Plants I also Bought A Soaker Hose To Water My Asparagus Plants This
A Good Idea?
Any thing that can save time is a good idea. However, too much water will cause the root to rot. Asparagus
can take a drought better then they can handle too much water. At 100 -105 degrees in August we water
maybe 1 time a week. If we do not get rain for 2 weeks then I would make sure they were watered at least
once. Smaller waterings is better that long heavy frequent waterings. Soil should be just moist.
